Etherchannel (Link Aggregation)

Assalamualaikum Sob, belajar networking lagi yuk.. pada kesempatan kali ini ane kita akan belajar etherchannel.
Etherchannel merupakan sebuah teknologi yang dapat menjadikan multiple physical links menjadi single logical links. Berikut beberapa kelebihan etherchannel:

Apabila kita lihat pada gambar di atas yaitu ada dua switch dan dua komputer yang terhubung ke masing-masing switch. Masing-masing interface komputer yang terhubung ke switch kapasitasnnya 1000 Mbit, sedangkan link antara switch hanya 100 Mbit. Lalu, apabila salah satu dari komputer tersebut mengirimkan paket lebih dari 100 Mbit dari link bandwidth yang tersedia. Maka bandwidth akan congestion dan trafik akan droped.

Sebenarnya ada dua solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut
  • Mengganti link antara switch menjadi  1000Mbit atau 10Gb
  • Menambahkan multiple links dan menggabungkan link tersebut menjadi etherchannel

Oke, kalau dilihat dari command konfigurasinya selain etherchannel ada juga bahwa IP yang di dapat oleh PC menggunakan DHCP dan setiap interface pada client menggunakan port security, sekalian kita review pembahasan kemarin sob.

Sekarang kita cek multiplelinks nya sudah jadi satu belum, begini cara cek nya sob


Channel-Group mode PAgp
Channel-Group pada etherchannel ada dua mode yaitu :

  • PAgP (Cisco proprietary)
  • LACP (IEEE standard)

Mengecek mode port security
Mode Violation Port Security
Mengecek DHCP client
DHCP Request Successful
Setelah output seperti gambar diatas, kita tinggal mengecek koneksi nya ya sob.. Test ping aja, As usual.. hehe

Test Ping Sesama Network
